Park Avenue

When our Clients purchased this historic home, the kitchen was hidden away. Meant to be an out-of-sight prep space excluded from the party, the kitchen was small, dark, and closed off. Reimagining the kitchen as a command center for daily living was the first priority. The contemporary kitchen looks as if it were inserted into the home, contrasting yet complementing the home’s historic details with clean lines and a bold material palette. Every kitchen tool and machine has a home behind a door, while cookbooks and glassware are on display.

At the front of the home, the double parlor was reconfigured to create distinct zones for entertaining. The existing display shelves were reimagined as a wet bar to host intimate cocktail tastings. A stained glass door left by previous owners was disassembled and installed in a wall as a statement piece, bringing both light and texture to the space.
